The Warehouse Counter Salesperson is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to walk-in and phone-in customers while accurately processing sales orders and assisting with warehouse operations. This role combines product knowledge, sales skills, and warehouse coordination to ensure customers receive timely and efficient service.
A Typical Day
- Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner at the counter or over the phone.
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their needs, specifications, and inventory availability.
- Provide accurate product information, including pricing, availability, and features.
- Process sales orders, returns, and exchanges using the company's point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain organized and stocked product displays and counter area.
- Pull, pack, and stage orders for customer pickup or delivery as needed.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Handle forms of payment according to company policy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, inventory, and promotions.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, inventory counts, and other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all company safety and operational procedures.
- You have great communication skills & you're proficient in English (verbal and written)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous counter sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with POS systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment as needed (e.g., pallet jack, forklift-if certified).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time in a warehouse setting.
