As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for our patients and ensuring seamless check-in and check-out processes. Your commitment to excellent service will leave a lasting impression on our patients.

  • Warmly greet and assist patients, customers, and vendors as they enter the practice.
  • Professionally handle telephone inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Manage appointment scheduling efficiently.
  • Collect and verify patient and insurance information with accuracy.
  • Ensure all patient demographics are recorded in our EMR system accurately.
  • Confirm vision and medical insurance details and input them into EMR.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of various insurance plans and effectively communicate this to patients.
  • Review schedules to verify insurance eligibility prior to patient appointments, ensuring all needed files are complete.
  • Prepare insurance claims and generate reports to ensure all charges are properly billed and filed.
  • Print and organize necessary forms for patient visits.
  • Document all charges, co-pays, and payments accurately in EMR.
  • Allocate balances to insurance as required.
  • Consistently maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Utilize time, equipment, and supplies efficiently.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail are a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and practice information is crucial.
