Join our Sibley Nursing Team as an In-Patient Oncology Registered Nurse

With its 318 beds, this non-profit, full-service acute care hospital offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic, skilled nursing inpatient services, and a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibleys campus also includes Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and a new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms.

Specialized Unit Details

25-bed Oncology unit with a BMT specialty component, with an emphasis on acute hematology patients and symptom management for all persons experiencing issues related to their cancer diagnosis.

Unit/Schedule
  • 25 Bed Inpatient Oncology unit
  • Full-time 36 hours/week, benefitted
  • 12-hour Rotating shifts (7a-7p or 7p to 7a)
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Registered Nurses
  • 1+ year RN experience
  • Chemo/bioTherapy Certification preferred or obtain within 1 year of hire; fully paid for by Sibley Memorial Hospital.
  • AHA CPR card

Salary Range: Minimum 39.61/hour - Maximum 61.40/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
