Join our retail team as a Customer Service Specialist, a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences. You will work closely with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, answer inquiries about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the best solutions. Your prompt resolution of customer concerns will be key to achieving maximum satisfaction while keeping up-to-date with product features and maintaining high-quality visual standards in the store.

Starting pay: $16.50 per hour

Your work location will be Store #721150 at 5220 Middlebury Rd, Elkhart, IN 46516.

This position includes responsibilities such as:

  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
  • Assisting customers in person and over the phone by identifying their needs and presenting suitable products and services.
  • Building strong, productive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Accurately processing sales transactions in line with company policies.
  • Aiming to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
  • Maintaining precise work order files and formulas.
  • Retrieving products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
  • Tinting and mixing products to meet customer specifications.
  • Stocking shelves and displaying merchandise attractively.
  • Cleaning store equipment and helping to load/unload delivery trucks.
  • Assisting in deliveries when necessary.
  • Keeping assigned areas in-stock and presentable.
  • Staying knowledgeable about available products and discussing options with customers.
  • Following inventory control procedures.
  • Proposing ideas to enhance sales.

Minimum requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Must be authorized to work in the country without requiring future sponsorship.
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
  • Experience in selling paint and related products.
  • Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in Spanish.
