Job Title: Director of Curriculum FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports To: Superintendent

Work Location: Central Office

Work Schedule: 240 days

Position begins: 7-1-2026

Position Summary

Manages and supervises the work of five North Montgomery Schools. Works closely with the other

administrative team members and instructional coaches to lead and assist school staff and to optimize

communication between school administration and teachers, parents, other districts, and schools.

Serves as a vital member of the Superintendent's cabinet.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Curriculum, Assessment, and Instruction:

• PK Pathways to Quality (PTQ) compliance

• K-12 Curriculum maps and assessments

• K-3 Reading plan development and submission

• K-12 Multi-Tiered system of supports & special education

• K-12 Corporation textbook adoption

• K-12 Coordination of all textbook requisitions

• Multilingual learner programming and services

• High ability programming and services

• Professional Development

• Develop, plan and implement annual professional development agenda

• Lead district-wide New Teacher Academy

• Coordinate, plan, and implement corporation-wide grade level and department meetings

• Works with Tech Integration Specialist to support blended learning

• Support professional learning communities

• Assessment

• Serve as Corporation Test Coordinator -coordinating ILEARN, IREAD, IAM, NWEA, WIDA,

and common formative assessments

• Analyze school and corporation assessment data

• Assist schools with the development of a data monitoring system

• Grants-Complete, Submit and Administer

• Title I - Elementary school-wide programs; fall parent meeting; compliance

• Title III - English Language Learners

• Title IV - Professional development

• Special Education grants • Summer school • High ability • Collaborate with administrators, teachers, or other professionals working in education in order to identify needs and areas of improvement in education systems, and to establish collaborative relationships. • Knowledge of the state and federal policies concerning educational curricula and the approved curricula from specific educational institutions. • Knowledge of project management and the activities which comprise this area. Know the variables implied in project management such as time, resources, requirements, deadlines, and responding to unexpected events. • Coordinate grant quarterly and year-end financial reports with treasurer. • Exercises good judgment and works effectively with all school personnel, parents and students. • Maintains compliance with all district policies and procedures. • Performs other responsibilities as assigned by superintendent.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Possess a valid Indiana teaching license

• Building administration, teaching or school counseling experience required

• Must demonstrate highly effective organizational, interpersonal, data analysis, and leadership

skills.

• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor's Degree required.

• History of excellent work attendance.

• Perform duties in a professional and personable manner.

Other/Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA,

FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other

federal, state and local standards.

• Applicants must be able to pass a Safe Hiring Solutions background check.
