Job Summary
Wholly Owned Corp seeks Senior Product Development Engineer based in Denver, CO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Duties include: Research, design, develop and test in connection with the manufacturing of Bluetooth Low Energy wireless communications module. Operate various computer-assisted engineering design tools and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Confer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products. Coordinate support documentation and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements. Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment. Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing specifications. Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget. Plan or implement research methodology or procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects. Utilize various tools and technologies. Lead design meetings and design reviews. Coordinate activities with subcontractors.
Minimum Education & Experience:
- Master's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or closely related, plus at least 3 years of engineering experience with various communications protocols and hardware based on industry standards that connect low-level signal processing and data acquisition systems with higher level data collector and network-based systems including experience with firmware or embedded software development used with low-level systems, plus at least 1 year of engineering experience (academic or commercial) designing portable wireless telemetry devices based on the IEEE 802.15.4 or 802.15.1 standard.
- In lieu of a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience, a qualified candidate may have a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of post-Bachelor's experience. All experience may be gained concurrently.
