This role requires you to be in the office three days a week, promoting collaboration while allowing for productivity and work-life balance. In-office location: FL-ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, 370-774 NORTHLAKE BLVD.

As a Licensed Pharmacist, you will work first shift on schedules from Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safety and security of pharmaceutical merchandise, adhering to regulations, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws.

Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring quality assurance and security in handling controlled substances.
  • Receiving and reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Providing accurate information to customers regarding drug interactions, side effects, and dosage.
  • Consulting with prescribers when necessary regarding prescription interpretation.
  • Maintaining organized inventory and ordering supplies for optimal customer care.
  • Compounding and preparing medications as ordered by authorized personnel.
  • Offering guidance and counseling to customers on using medical devices like blood pressure and diabetes monitors.
  • Striving to improve efficiency and reduce costs within the pharmacy.
  • Implementing procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D with a minimum of 1 year experience as a Pharmacist; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Valid Registered Pharmacist license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Pharmacist in a retail setting.
  • Experience in Specialty Pharmacy and/or Hospital settings.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy adjudication platforms.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • For the Carelon Health business unit, NABP verification is required.
