About the Role
Our client, a leading industrial organization, is seeking a Commercial Insights Lead to drive business performance through data, analytics, and actionable insights. This hybrid role combines sales and marketing analytics, competitive intelligence, and market insights to inform strategy, strengthen commercial execution, and identify growth opportunities.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for turning complex data into clear, meaningful business recommendations. You'll partner closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to improve decision-making, optimize performance, and enhance market positioning.
Requirements
Commercial Performance Analytics
- Develop and maintain dashboards that track revenue, margin, sales funnel health, and customer performance.
- Analyze sales trends, customer churn, and product mix to uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver regional and segment-level insights for business reviews and executive reporting.
- Partner with sales and marketing leadership to improve market coverage and commercial cost alignment.
- Lead NPS analysis and translate results into actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate marketing campaign performance across channels and identify areas to optimize ROI.
- Assess lead sources and conversion rates to guide sales and marketing investments.
- Analyze CRM data to monitor pipeline velocity, win rates, and pipeline coverage.
- Provide proactive insights to sales leaders on pipeline gaps and sales performance trends.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing shifts, product launches, and market dynamics.
- Build and maintain competitor profiles, win/loss analyses, and market share estimates.
- Collaborate with internal partners to collect and structure market intelligence efficiently.
- Support strategy and planning through timely, data-driven insights.
- Lead win/loss reviews with sales teams and, when possible, customers.
- Maintain a database of deal outcomes and extract key trends by product, segment, and competitor.
- Collaborate across sales, marketing, and product management to align intelligence with business goals.
- Feed insights into territory planning, product roadmaps, and campaign strategies.
- Minimum of 5 years in sales analysis, business intelligence, or competitive insights.
- Strong analytical and storytelling skills - able to connect data to strategy and communicate with impact.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel; experience with Salesforce and SAP preferred.
- Experience in B2B or industrial distribution environments is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a strategic mindset.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven culture.
- Strong communicator with a business-first approach to insights.
- Curious, resourceful, and skilled at leveraging technology and AI to enhance outcomes.
- Travel: Up to 30%
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Tuesdays and Thursdays required onsite)
