ROLE AND PURPOSE:
State and Federal Programs Coordinator shall provide leadership and is responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation and improvement of all State and Federal Programs. The ultimate goal of the State and Federal Programs Coordinator shall be planning, organizing, directing and evaluating Federal Programs so that the district can offer the best possible supplemental educational programs and services to all at-risk students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Teaching Certification preferred.
- Administrative Certification preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.
- Master's Degree from accredited institution preferred.
- Minimum two years' experience administering Title I/SCE programs.
- Minimum five years' experience teaching Title I/SCE programs.
- In depth knowledge of local, state and federal regulations to include EDGAR, FASRG, compliance guidelines.
- Knowledge of federal and special program rules and regulations.
- Expertise in interpreting and applying federal and state law in educational settings.
- Ability to interpret data, implement policy, manage budget, and supervise personnel.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use technology effectively.
- Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form .
I. INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT:
- Assist in the development, evaluation, revision, and alignment of supplementary intervention programs for at-risk students.
- Assist the director in identifying and improving the effectiveness of department procedures and processes throughout the district.
- Attend district-wide meetings and communicate district focus, concerns, and policies to all staff on a timely basis.
- Prepare standard applications for federal funds to Texas Education Agency (TEA).
- Collect appropriate information and prepare required amendments to Texas Education Agency (TEA).
- Remains informed of all federal and state guidelines governing at-risk students.
- Assists and encourages staff to evaluate and improve the financial efficiency and effectiveness of State and Federal Program procedures and activities on all campuses.
- Assist the director in activities and compliance monitoring related to State and Federal program effectiveness studies and reporting.
- Evaluate State and Federal Programs Specialist.
- Conduct meetings with State and Federal Programs Specialist on a regular basis.
- Serve as the appraiser for paraprofessional staff as assigned by the director.
- Personal computer, printer, fax machine, copier, scanner, and calculator.
- Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive, etc.)
- Google Suite applications (Docs, G-Mail, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.)
