As a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the daily non-clinical operations of the pharmacy while ensuring a smooth workflow and a great experience for our patients. This position requires certification as a pharmacy technician.

You will operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, under the supervision of a pharmacist, while also supervising pharmacy technicians and cashiers in compliance with company policies and regulations.

In this role, you will be responsible for the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technicians, leading their training and performance management, along with making decisions regarding necessary disciplinary actions.
Customer Experience:
-
Engage customers and patients by greeting them warmly, assisting with products and services, and effectively resolving any complaints to ensure a positive experience.
-
Develop strong relationships with customers, anticipating their needs, and proactively offering services to enhance their experience with our pharmacy.
Operations:
-
Assist pharmacists in patient care delivery including patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, and performing non-clinical calls.

Exercise independent judgment within company guidelines, directing and delegating non-clinical tasks to ensure timely completion of pharmacy operations.

Coordinate the pharmacy's daily schedule and workflow, recommending effective allocation of hours and maintaining a clean and stocked environment.

Ensure compliance with all operational policies, manage inventory tasks, and oversee the security of the pharmacy under the guidance of the pharmacist.

Accurately process insurance claims to resolve customer issues and prevent payment rejections.
People & Performance Management:

Lead the performance management of pharmacy technicians, including tracking compliance with regulatory requirements and enforcing attendance policies.

Oversee the hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling of pharmacy technicians, while ensuring completion of required training.

Monitor and support team members in areas where they may need additional training or assistance.
Training & Personal Development:

Maintain your pharmacy technician certification and continuously enhance your knowledge and skills in pharmacy and healthcare.

Participate in professional development opportunities to further your career and embrace feedback for continuous growth.
Communication:

Effectively communicate with the pharmacy team, ensuring messages are relayed as necessary.

Participate in store and pharmacy meetings to stay aligned with goals and team objectives.

External Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

PTCB or ExCPT certification required.

At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting is preferred.

Must be fluent in English.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Must obtain an active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous leadership experience is preferred.

Prior experience with Walgreens is a plus.
We will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
The current salary range for this position is $22.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on various factors. This role will remain open until filled.
