About The Position
Inpatient Physical Therapist Daily Patient Load: 8-10 Years of experience REQ: 1 First timers accepted: Yes Weekend REQ: No Certs REQ: BLS Is on-call REQ? No Will the clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No Open to accommodating block schedule? To be discussed Locals accepted: Yes. RTO Restrictions: Must work 2/3 major holidays. Guaranteed Hours: 8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3, 12 hr. shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek. Special Requirements: Skillset Requirements: Acute Care, Home Exercise Programs, Lifting and Transfer, Medications, Order Supplies, Patient Family Education, Safety and Injury Prevention, Telephone Calls, Geriatrics, Medical Surgical, Neurology, Orthopedics, Adaptive Devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, Arousal and Attention, Assistive Devices, Body Mechanics, Identifying Environmental Barriers, Pain Assessment, Sensory Response, Skin Integrity, Strength Testing, Vital Signs Required Rehabilitation Hospital, Billing, Cardiopulmonary, ER, ICU, Oncology Preferred Unit Information: We have an ICU, CIC, NICU, ortho, neuro and surgical units. We see patients to prep for discharge home or to another facility. We work closely with nursing, Case management, OT and ST Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). **Periop/OR RN s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline.
