Tired of doing Warranty Work all day? Used Car Super Center is looking for an Automotive State Safety Inspector. We are part of Berglund Automotive, a well-established and reputable automotive group with 10 locations, representing 20 different automotive brands throughout Southwest and Central Virginia.

Job Summary:

As a safety inspector you will be responsible for performing state inspections on customers’ vehicles, in accordance with Virginia State law, while maintaining a positive relationship with customers and technicians in the shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform state inspections on customers’ vehicles in accordance with Virginia State law.
  • Conduct safety inspections as outlined in the inspection manual.
  • Report repair needs or safety concerns to the store manager.
  • Ensure compliance with state codes and regulations.
  • Keep up to date with state inspection bulletins.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
  • Comply with established safety programs, including wearing protective eyewear.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia State Inspection License.
  • Experience as an automotive technician a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
