Supply Chain Business Intelligence Director

Job Summary
Are you passionate about driving data-driven decision-making in the supply chain industry? We are seeking a talented Supply Chain Business Intelligence Director to lead our analytics agenda and implement a robust business intelligence strategy. In this role, you will align business intelligence initiatives with cutting-edge data and technology, ensuring we effectively meet our customers' needs while enhancing our analytics capabilities.
You will oversee master data management and the supporting technologies that bolster all facets of our supply chain. Your responsibilities also include managing the Supply Chain database infrastructure, providing oversight for reporting and analytics services to fulfill our business requirements and support our external customers. As a key leader, you will be charged with data governance and performance evaluation, focusing on SLAs, budgets, and vendor fulfillment data.
This role will also involve coordinating our supply chain technology plan and addressing final escalations for all support service technology issues. Exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and continuous improvement will be central to your leadership. Salary Information
The salary range for this position is $129,600 - $303,800 (Annual Rate). Your final salary will depend on various factors, including your experience and equity within this classification.
Department Overview
The Supply Chain Department plays a pivotal role in supporting our organization’s mission through the efficient, cost-effective procurement of goods and services. We oversee the entire spectrum of purchasing, contracting, sourcing, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relations. Our departmental focus on quality, compliance, and sustainability drives operational excellence, cost reduction, and improved patient care outcomes through informed decision-making and a commitment to continuous improvement. Collaborative work with clinical, research, and administrative departments will be essential in our complex academic medical center environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management, or related field.
- 7+ years of leadership experience in supply chain management, including expertise in master data management and cloud technologies.
- Demonstrated success in BI initiatives, strategic planning, and managing cross-functional teams; extensive experience with data analytics, reporting, and BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Thorough understanding of business intelligence operations, principles, policies, methodologies, and architecture.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and data governance; proven track record in managing complex projects.
- Ability to extract insights from complex data sets and foster collaboration across departments.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
- High proficiency in MS Office applications and BI/database reporting tools.
- Strong leadership abilities to create and maintain a collaborative work environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and adaptability to dynamic scenarios; strategic thinking and execution skills.
- Advanced influencing and negotiating capabilities, effective at all management levels.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to motivate and persuade teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Solid conflict resolution skills.
- Adept at organizing operations, managing resources, and driving efficiencies.
