The Maritime System Solutions Portfolio within the Maritime Systems Division (MSD) is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Undersea Technology Specialist to become part of our dynamic Leidos team. This position offers you the chance to engage in groundbreaking initiatives within our Maritime Systems Division, focusing on supporting U.S. Navy Intelligence with in-depth analysis of both current and emerging undersea system capabilities, technological advancements, and operational strategies.
In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop advanced maritime technologies, from concept design to full implementation for ongoing Navy missions. Your analysis will encompass both domestic and international undersea technology systems, including manned and unmanned vehicles, underwater navigation systems, and imaging technologies (both acoustic and optical). You will engage in research, represent the team at various maritime conferences, present findings to senior leadership, and collaborate with national and international partners in the maritime tech space.

Primary Responsibilities:
You will leverage your expertise in underwater technologies to conduct all-source intelligence analysis, concentrating on both existing and emerging maritime technology capabilities. Essential knowledge includes:
- Unmanned undersea vehicles
- Manned submersibles
- Seafloor imaging sensors (acoustic & optical)
- Undersea vehicle navigation and positioning
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years experience as a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) technician.
- Active TS Security clearance.
- Ability to brief senior leaders and clients independently.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Experience in foreign maritime analysis.
- Knowledge of deep sea technology, ocean systems engineering, and underwater operations is a plus.
