Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking, on behalf of our client, an experienced Plaintiff Legal Assistant / Paralegal for the firm’s Coral Gables office. Position Summary:
The Legal Assistant / Paralegal will support attorneys handling plaintiff litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in plaintiff-side litigation, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, trial-focused practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, draft, and proofread pleadings, discovery responses, and other legal documents.

  • File documents electronically in state and federal courts.

  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, and client meetings.

  • Organize and maintain case files (physical and electronic).

  • Coordinate service of process, subpoenas, and document deliveries.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel.

  • Assist with all aspects of trial preparation, including preparation of exhibits, trial binders, and witness lists.

  • Perform general administrative and case management tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 + years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in plaintiff-side litigation.

  • Strong knowledge of court procedures and e-filing systems (Florida Courts E-Portal, CM/ECF).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

  • Trial experience or familiarity with trial preparation.
