Senior Civil/Structural Engineer for Substations

Join Leidos Engineering, a leader in innovative energy solutions, where your expertise will make a significant impact on vital infrastructure projects. We are looking for a Licensed Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with over 8 years of experience in utility consulting and design engineering. Your education in the design of steel and concrete structures, geotechnical engineering, site design, and foundation will be crucial in this role.

In this position, you will review and evaluate designs for substation structures, including rigid bus design, foundation design, oil spill containment, retaining walls, and control shelters. You will play a key role in developing bid and construction packages, ensuring that all components meet quality standards while mentoring junior engineers. Engaging with clients through project meetings and site visits will be an essential part of your responsibilities, and occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil-Structural Engineering - Required
  • Master's degree in Civil-Structural Engineering (Preferred)
  • PE Licensure - Required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MATHCAD - Required
  • Experience with STAAD.Pro, RISA 3D, FAD Tools, SAFE, SAG10, and LPILE software - Required
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation - Required
  • Strong analytical skills and technical writing abilities
  • Effective communicator, capable of teamwork and client engagement
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Pay Range: $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
