Setting: Inpatient | Hospital-Based GI Coverage
Schedule: 24-Hour On Call (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM)
Track: Locum to Perm
Population: Adults only

Position Overview

A well-established health system in Des Moines, Iowa is seeking a Board Certified or Eligible Gastroenterologist for a locum-to-perm inpatient position. This role includes comprehensive GI coverage with ERCP required and EUS highly preferred, all within a 24-hour call model.

Role Details
  • Perform 3-4 outpatient procedures/day
  • Manage inpatient consults and GI procedures
  • Provide ERCP services - Required
  • Perform EUS procedures - Highly Preferred
  • EMR: Cerner

Candidate Requirements
• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 3 years of residency)
• Active Iowa License or IMLC - Required
• ACLS Certification - Required
• COVID Vaccination - Required
• Clean malpractice and background - Preferred
• Comfortable with inpatient hospital-based work - Required

Compensation & Benefits

24-Hour On Call Rate: $3,519.00/Call-back $508/hr
Travel & Lodging: Covered
Licensing & Certification Reimbursement: Provided
