Loan Operations Specialist

The Loan Operations Specialist will report directly to the Loan Operations Manager. The primary responsibilities of this position will be focused quality assurance, servicing, and loan accounting. This position will cross-train on duties within the other areas to serve as a back-up within the department.
Loan Operations Specialist Accountabilities:
- Complete quality assurance on any post-closing loan servicing.
- Innovation and efficiency for improved processes and procedures.
- Process loans while ensuring perfection of the bank's lien position and assisting lenders in providing excellent and timely customer service.
- Upload and fund loans once documents are signed and ensure loan is uploaded correctly.
- Complete post-closing review of loan files to include the addition of ticklers and quality assurance.
- Monitor loan files for completeness on an ongoing basis using the tickler system.
- Provide ongoing loan servicing for all uploaded loans.
- Work on monthly, quarterly, and annual loan file projects.
- Complete loan accounting duties such as GL balancing, participation accounting, loan status changes, and review of loan payments.
- Create and submit reporting for various agencies and management, pulling data from the core banking system and gathering data for business analytics.
- Assist operations in various projects and tasks related to loans.
- Prefer a 2-year degree or completion of equivalent specialized training.
- Prefer 3-5 years of experience or training in a related position.
