RxBenefits is hiring We are adding a Software Engineer III to the growing application development team at our Birmingham, AL headquarters. As a level III engineer, you will be responsible for creating the next generation of software at RxBenefits to support our rapidly growing business. You will also be part of a thought-leading team in the technology organization that champions the delivery of modern software. Job Responsibilities Include:

Design, implement and deploy highly performant and scalable products and solutions.

Manage complex requirements into executable chunks and deliver them iteratively with high quality.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software defects and issues.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement product features and solutions.
-
Conduct detailed code reviews and provide feedback as needed.
-
Participate in and contribute to application/product design and architecture meetings.
-
Mentor and guide junior developers fostering a collaborative environment.
-
Deliver personal and team deadlines and goals.
-
Coordinate with Global Ops team to delegate and/or assign work as necessary to achieve desired work product

Ensure efficient and productive use of team resources
Required Skills / Experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or another related field.
-
6-8 years of experience in frontend (React, NextJS) and backend(Python, Go, Java) technologies.
-
Hands on experience with AWS services, especially EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudFormation/Terraform.
-
Deployments to Amazon Web Services
-
Understanding of microservices architecture and container orchestration.
-
Ability to think strategically and execute with urgency.
-
Ability to make design choices based on manageability, scalability, resiliency, and security.
-
Desire to innovate and discover new technologies.
-
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
-
Strong communications and presentation skills
-
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and works well in a team environment.

Ability to work with minimal supervision within a team environment.
Bonus Experience:

Development in ES6 JavaScript and related frameworks such as React, AngularJS, etc.

Work with responsive design frameworks
-
Mobile application development for iOS and Android
-
Experience with microservices, SOA, and/or distributed architectures
-
Deployments to Amazon Web Services
-
Open-source software and dependency management
-
Caching and in-memory database technologies
-
Asynchronous/multi-threaded programming patterns
Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The final salary offered to the selected candidate may vary from the posted range due to individual qualifications.
