General Description:

Responsible for providing inside sales and process support, design engineering, preparation of product or system or solution specifications, estimation, preparation of bid proposals/pre-qualifications and presentations for manufacturer representatives and regional managers for their assigned areas. Complete proposals accurately and in detail. Maintain regular contact and follow-ups where needed. Prior to bid activity develop all process designs, guarantees & specifications for specific projects, review drawings & specifications, develop bid sheets that contain all costs for each project. Sound understanding of water/wastewater treatment principles and their application in different industries. Understand Parkson range of products, build and develop sub supplier relationships where needed to help complete system proposals. Responsible for accurately entering purchase orders and completing all internal process design work before the project is transferred to project engineering.

Essential Functions:
  • Communicate with Regional Sales Managers, Technical Sales Managers, Reps, and customers
  • Lead proposal activities and be willing and knowledgeable to engage other product leads when needed to complete proposal work
  • Maintains Master Project File, Maintains SalesForce.com project database
  • Ensures all designs are in conformance with contract specifications & drawings
  • Ensure all inquiries are responded to in a timely manner and communicate this timeline to the customer
  • Redirects sales inquiries to the appropriate product grou
  • Work with AE Manager when overloaded or out of the office to make sure customers are responded to in a timely manner
  • Supports the development and maintenance of a thorough sales toolbox for the product portfolio. Including, but not limited to:
  • Competitive intelligence
  • Case studies
  • Installation and reference lists
  • Marketing datasheets
  • Sales presentations
  • Specifications
  • Proposal templates
  • Design spreadsheets
  • Writes up orders; clearly identifies what was sold, and resolves conflicts between proposal and P.O. regarding price, scope, and delivery schedule
  • Seeks vendor quotes to build competitive and accurate project budgets
  • Serves as a technical process expert
  • Provides post-sale support as required
  • Assist Product Manager as requested with strategic initiatives
  • Support pilot related activities including on-site support functions

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Biological Engineering or equivalent
Experience:
  • 2+ years of application or process engineering design experience is preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • MSOffice
  • Adobe
  • Baan
  • Experience with ISO9001 requirements desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and engineering drawings
