American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of recent specialty experience and active licensure.
Responsibilities- Work in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab environment
- Adult cardiovascular patient population
- Responsibilities involve technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures
- Day shifts, four 10-hour shifts per week, with call requirements
- Use of advanced imaging equipment and Epic EMR system
- Assist physicians with radiological imaging during cardiac and vascular procedures, including acting as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions
- Operate imaging equipment and document procedure images and events in the control room
- Educate patients and families about pre- and post-procedure expectations and conditions
- Assist with maintaining stock, unit order, and cleanliness for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures
- Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to department standards
- Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and safety
- Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- All vaccination, background check, and drug screen requirements must be completed by specified deadlines
- Radiation badge must be provided
- Active license required if applicable
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Cardiology or Cath Lab
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred
- Current registered ARRT or RCIS required within 18 months of hire, or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification, RCIS, or RCES
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Fluoroscopy certification required
- Must be able to provide radiation badge as needed
