Position Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver, and we invite you to join our team at Ryder.

We understand that your potential paycheck is important. You could earn $1,505 or more per week with us

  • Driver Positions Pay Weekly
  • Solo Miles Pay: $0.65 per Mile with 2,200 Miles per Week
  • 2 - 3 Layovers per Week
  • Sign-On Bonus: $1,250 after 30 days and $1,250 after 90 days
  • Paid Training
  • Schedule: Sunday - Friday
  • Start Time: 9:00 PM

  • Deliver SOLO To: VA, PA, MD, OH, CT, NJ, ME, DE, NC, & NY
  • Route: Regional
  • Tractor Type: Sleeper, Refrigerators, and Inverters
  • Trailer Type: Dry Van & Reefer 53'
  • Freight: No Touch - Food Goods
  • Endorsements: Hazmat Preferred (we reimburse costs and provide training to obtain endorsements)

Our trucks are 36 months or newer and equipped with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance. As a company driver, you can fuel up at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Minimum 9 months verifiable experience in a tractor trailer in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws and regulations
  • Identify and minimize safety hazards
  • Maintain accurate records and logs
  • Assist in loading/unloading freight if required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
