Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric, primarily in a perioperative setting. The nurse will perform thorough assessments, demonstrate competent clinical skills, and maintain accurate documentation to support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic, comprehensive, and accurate patient assessments.
• Deliver direct patient care consistent with the unit’s standards and protocols.
• Document nursing processes and patient progress appropriately in the patient’s chart.
• Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to policies and identifying areas for growth.
• Respond to patients, families, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and utilize safe transfer techniques.
• Individualize patient care based on their conditions, procedures, and anesthesia.
• Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care needs effectively.
• Engage in patient education regarding their surgical procedures and postoperative care.
• Ensure timely completion of patient testing and evaluate orders for appropriateness.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of nursing experience is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• RN License is mandatory.
• CNOR certification is preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
