About The Position
Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Cardiac Sonographer Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: BLS Certifications: ARDMS Must-Have: Adult cardiac sonographer experience; NICU/Pediatric experience is desired but not required. Description: The cardiac sonographer will perform 6-8 echocardiograms per shift. The position includes a weekend call rotation of 1 in 6. The call shift starts Friday at 4:00 PM and ends Monday at 7:00 AM. There is a Saturday shift from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The staff member on weekend call does not have a weekday call shift. The unit is a mix of inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms. Duties include stress echocardiograms, TEE, and dobutamine stress echocardiograms. Staff will be assigned specific areas to cover each day. The equipment used includes Philips machines and utilizes Epic and Muse software.
