JOB SUMMARY: Our truck drivers are responsible for safe and efficient transportation of products from the warehouse to various customers. You will ensure timely delivery and proper unloading according to customer specifications and company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely unload products from trailers, using hand carts or by hand in various weather conditions.

• Complete all paperwork accurately according to company policies and DOT regulations, including logs and vehicle inspections.

• Ensure food safety standards are met during product transport and maintain sanitary conditions within the vehicle.

• Build positive customer relationships through excellent service and communication.

• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED, with one year of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a tractor-trailer driving school may substitute for education.

• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English to comprehend traffic signage and official inquiries.

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License; must be insurable as a condition of initial and continued employment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Understanding of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting practices. Skilled in long-distance driving, customer communication, and problem-solving.

Ability to drive both day and night, maintain alertness, meet productivity goals, and safely handle various forms of product including hazardous materials.

Basic math skills for financial transactions and the capability to independently organize work activities and solve problems effectively.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear; frequently lift, push, or move products weighing up to 50 pounds by hand, and up to 350 pounds with a hand cart. Must be able to climb in and out of vehicles, bend, twist, and reach to load and unload products.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Applicants should be aware that the position may involve exposure to varying temperatures and conditions, working in confined spaces, and noise levels that are typically moderate. Flexibility in scheduling, including the potential for overtime and night shifts, is required to fulfill customer needs.
