We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery in Nevada.

Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery

Position Type:
Specialty: Physician - Surgery - Cardiothoracic
Location: Nevada
Rate: Open & Negotiable
Shift: 24-hour call every 3 weeks; 7a 5p on non-call days; potential clinic coverage
Start Date: September 25, 2025
End Date: TBD

Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult cardiovascular & thoracic patients
Setting: Acute care hospital
Responsibilities:

  • First assist in CVT surgeries (CABG, valve replacement, etc.)

  • Inpatient rounds and interdisciplinary coordination

  • Consults, diagnostic workup, prescribing

  • Rotate 24-hour first call with another PA

  • Occasional clinic duties

Required Procedures: All first assist capabilities for complex CVT procedures
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: Clinic supervisor, Acute Care Services Director
Days Per Month:
On-Call/Weekends: Yes 24-hour call rotation

Submission Requirements:

  • Board Certified REQUIRED

  • NV State License or IMLC REQUIRED

  • Residency/Fellowship REQUIRED

  • BLS, ACLS, DEA REQUIRED

  • Clean Malpractice REQUIRED
