The Application Engineer opportunity at nVent Trachte is an outstanding chance to join a top-notch team driving innovation and flawless execution. You will collaborate closely with our sales team, providing your technical expertise to ensure the successful implementation of customer solutions. Your role will play a vital part in delivering outstanding results, from the initial proposal strategy meetings to the final project handoff.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Review RFPs, specifications, email communications, and drawings (structural and electrical single line diagrams) to determine solution and product compliance, including preliminary HVAC sizing, lighting calculations, battery calculations, and weight estimates.

  • Provide technical assistance to customers, sales managers, engineering, and estimating teams, including the completion of datasheets to define estimating inputs.

  • Participate in key customer meetings, including visits, presentations, proposal clarifications, and project kick-off meetings.

  • Ensure technical compliance and accuracy in quotes and develop compelling proposal documents and customer value propositions.

  • Support new product development, product introductions, and product improvements by analyzing and communicating product development needs internally.

  • Provide technical solutions aligned with customer needs and Trachte/Parkline product capabilities.

  • Collaborate in project handover meetings with project managers and engineers to ensure seamless transitions.

  • Broaden your abilities by exploring new coordinated equipment offerings and improving your expertise.

YOU HAVE:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.

  • Ideally 5+ years of demonstrated ability in the electrical infrastructure market in a technical role.

  • Proficiency with LV/MV Switchgear, Relay Panels, UPS, MCC, VFD, and related equipment.

  • Expertise in crafting drawing layouts and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong product presentation, communication skills, and technical competence.

  • Outstanding customer service and follow-up capabilities.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
