Summary:

The Data Processing Specialist plays a crucial role in accurately handling data and providing exceptional production support by ensuring timely completion of client requests and internal processes.

Daily Processing

  • Monitors incoming data files using in-house project management software to ensure seamless processing.
  • Acknowledges all incoming data files from clients and/or their vendors, marking them appropriately in the project management software.
  • Reports and escalates any issues with test, unknown, late, or missing data files to the Data Processing Manager or Supervisor.
  • Fulfills daily requests for docket paperwork upon arrival of files from clients, notifying the Production Control Department to initiate production.
  • Processes data for scheduled jobs in print and eStatement production by ensuring the correct files are utilized and configurations are accurate.
  • Validates log files post-processing to ensure overall accuracy and links job dockets with specifications in the tracking software.
  • Conducts thorough quality assurance checks for all jobs before and after processing.
  • Records control totals in the internal database daily.
  • Creates CD, DVD, and PDF archives as directed for client processing.

Production Support

  • Maintains organized customer data files for backup and storage as jobs are completed.
  • Provides regular updates on outstanding jobs and issues to the Data Processing Manager or Supervisor.
  • Communicates all processing discrepancies and issues promptly to the Data Processing Manager or Supervisor.
  • Responds to client and internal communications in a timely manner.

Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • High School Diploma required.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Required knowledge of Unix operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Typing skills of 40+ WPM.
  • Quick learner with the ability to absorb operational instructions effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with skills in multi-tasking and analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and willingness to take direction.
  • Able to maintain focus and perform under pressure.

Physical Requirements:

  • Multi-limb coordination and proficient eye-hand coordination.
  • Able to stand, bend, reach, and lift boxes weighing up to 25lbs.
  • Able to sit at a desk, working on computer and phones for an entire workday.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking with organization and efficiency.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to participate in unexpected standby duty on a rotational basis for occasional evening and weekend client support emergencies.
