Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a PostgreSQL SME (subject matter expert) to support a large scale Federal IT program. This person needs to be local to Fort Belvoir, VA for emergencies, but is mostly remote.

Essential Duties of the PostgreSQL SME:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain high-performance Postgres database environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Manage database backups and recovery procedures
Qualifications of the PostgreSQL SME:
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL Database Administration and/or Development.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • Strong experience with Postgres SQL including configuration, tuning, and monitoring.
  • Certifications like Security+ or PostgreSQL Certified Professional is preferred
Compensation for the PostgreSQL SME:
  • $115,000 - $155,000 (based on experience)
  • GREAT remote flexibility (only onsite for emergencies)
