As a Principal Product Manager - Technical on the Audio Advertising team, you will be responsible for architecting and scaling audio advertising across Amazon Music, Alexa and 3rd party audio content. You'll need to Think Big to develop new ad experiences like Interactive Audio Ads and AI-powered creative solutions that transform how brands engage with audiences. Success in this role requires combining deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to deliver products that serve both listeners and advertisers.

You will:

Lead the technical vision and strategy for audio advertising products that span streaming audio, podcasts, and voice-interactive experiences

Partner with engineering teams to build scalable ad serving infrastructure supporting both first-party and third-party audio inventory

Drive innovation in areas like AI-powered audio creative generation, interactive voice advertising, and cross-format measurement

Mentor other product managers and set the bar for technical product development excellence

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Deep understanding of digital advertising technology and programmatic advertising

  • Experience building large-scale advertising or media solutions

  • Strong technical background with ability to partner effectively with engineering teams

  • Track record of delivering innovative products that drive business results

  • Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 4+ years of end to end product delivery experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
