As a Dental Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring each patient has a smooth, safe, and comfortable experience. Your responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, maintaining sterilization protocols, and providing thoughtful post-treatment guidance. You will work directly with dentists and hygienists, contributing to both clinical and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms meticulously and professionally.
- Assist during procedures with suction, retraction, and preparation of dental materials.
- Record accurate patient data, including vitals and treatment details.
- Capture digital X-rays while adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Provide clear post-op instructions and ensure patients feel informed and supported.
- Assist with lab tasks and maintain updated sterilization logs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- A minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience.
- Computer literate and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Creole is a plus.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to patient care.
