Private Upper East Side family seeks a highly experienced, discreet, and dependable full-time driver to support their daily transportation needs in Manhattan, with occasional transportation to and from their Sag Harbor residence. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:30am to 5:00pm, with overriding flexibility for later evenings and weekends as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a flawless driving record and maintain a strong focus on ensuring passenger safety at all times. Comprehensive familiarity with New York City and the Tri-State area is essential, along with confidence navigating both city streets and suburban roads. This role also requires a tech-savvy individual adept at syncing and managing a dynamic calendar via Outlook on an iPhone. A vehicle will be provided for all job-related driving responsibilities. This is a long-term opportunity suited for a polished, adaptable professional who values confidentiality and dependability
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Safely transport family members and guests to various locations on a daily basis
- Accounting for the insurance, registration, and the maintenance of the vehicle; ensuring all records are up to date and all services are recorded
- Maintaining the vehicle for guest readiness (gas levels, cleanliness of the vehicle, etc.) at all times
- Preparing routing, directions and additional due diligence in advance in order to maintain the utmost safety while driving
- Communicating with additional staff members; executing the needs of an ever-changing calendar
- Assisting principals in and out of the vehicle
- Additional general driving duties upon request
Requirements:
- Strong command of English language; outstanding writing and verbal communication
- Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
- Minimum 3+ years related experience working in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of New York City and Tri-state area
- Polished, poised, and professional in both mindset and manner, use of utmost discretion at all times
- MUST be able to assist passengers in and out of the vehicle
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Proficiency with Outlook, iPhone, and other related technologies
- Must be comfortable with children and pets
- Valid Driver’s License, confident driver with zero points on license
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Benefits: Health Insurance, PTO
All salary offers are Depending on Experience, References, and the results of Federal Background Report.
Compensation:
$100,000-$120,000 per year
