Specialty: Neuro Hospitalist Coverage type: Hospital Coverage Locums Neuro Hospitalist in Pennsylvania day coverage is needed Start Date: ASAP (Coverage need may be on-going) Coverage Needs Details: Monday-Friday 8a -8p hospital coverage every other week Consult service only, working with an APP Acute stroke handled by outside UPMC telestroke department Some weekend opportunities needed CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Active PA license or providers who need to obtain a license Board Status: Board Certified, Board Eligible Required Certifications: BLS, CPR Requirement Notes: stroke CMEs - 8 per year, does not need upon arrival, but will in practice. ENLS preferred. EEG interpreting preferred SHIFT/SCHEDULE INFORMATION M-F 8a-8p 24hr Weekend Call: Fri-Mon 8a-8a (Occasionally needed) JOB INFORMATION Typical Day: 15-18 patients mix new consults and follow-ups seen with you and an APP general neurology mix non-trauma, Medical ICU, working with general neurosurgery, neurocritical care, intensivists, hospitalists, ED providers and nurses Provider will work solo Patient Mix: 100% Adult AVG admissions while on call: 2-4 APP/Mid level coverage available dayshift APPs can help filter routine consults stat neuro questions/concerns Other specialties onsite: EEG routine, LTM, EMU General neurosurgery neurocritical care Procedures: LPs done in IR EMR: Epic Privilege Type: Full Time to Credential: 90 Days Compensation for this opportunity is highly competitive
