Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Nursing Administration Assistant Director to provide oversight for multiple nursing neighborhoods and support the Director of Nursing. In this role, you will act as a key resource for staff, fostering a collaborative environment with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. You will set a standard for performance and adherence to policies while being proactive in identifying and solving problems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing management oversight and assisting the Director of Nursing.
- Communicating significant events to the Director of Nursing and recommending corrective actions.
- Conducting inquiries for new and re-admitted residents, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Assisting with patient admissions and transfers, ensuring efficient bed assignments.
- Empowering staff to take accountability and improve resident care.
- Leading a robust infection prevention and control program with clear policies and procedures.
- Establishing systems for the identification and management of infections and communicable diseases.
- Overseeing antibiotic stewardship and resident care activities that may increase infection risk.
- Educating staff, residents, and families on infection prevention principles.
- Assisting in the facility's Quality Assurance and Assessment (QAA) Committee.
- Preparing for and participating in care plan meetings as needed.
- Monitoring and managing staffing needs to ensure safe, quality care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent preferred.
- Current RN license required.
- Specialized training in infection prevention and control is advantageous.
- Three to four years of nursing experience with demonstrated administrative and supervisory skills.
- Management experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and planning abilities.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and transfer residents as needed.
- Manual dexterity and coordination in working with residents and equipment.
- Attention to detail in documentation and record keeping.
- Capability to juggle diverse tasks effectively.

Pay range: $65,798 - $109,663 annually
