Join Under Armour, a pioneering brand dedicated to innovation and performance, as our new Senior Data Platform Engineer. In this exciting role, you will help shape the data products and services that enhance our direct to consumer experience, along with other key elements of our performance brand. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in data analytics, data science, and digital marketing across platforms like MapMyFitness and UA.com.

Position Overview

As part of our Enterprise Data Management team, you will be instrumental in transforming how we manage, process, and utilize data across the organization. Your work will focus on building essential data pipelines, services, and tools that empower both Under Armour teams and integrated systems, driving our mission to make athletes better.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain critical services for Under Armour's data infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and expand our data capabilities.
  • Redefine our centralized data store to comply with evolving global data regulations.
  • Develop tools for consumer identity resolution and marketing activation, pioneering new methodologies across teams.
  • Enable self-service solutions for analytics teams to enhance data accessibility and sharing across the enterprise.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong familiarity with data engineering design patterns and best practices.
  • Understanding of security and privacy frameworks in data management.
  • Experience with SQL and Python programming.
  • Proficiency in technologies like Snowflake, Hive, Spark, and Airflow.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EMR, Glue, S3, and Lambda.
  • A passion for working with emerging technologies and driving projects from inception to deployment.

Education and Experience:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years in data and/or software engineering.
  • A commitment to ownership and responsibility in all tasks.
