Shift Details:

  • Schedule: 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM (4x10 hour shifts)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to enhance safety and reliability throughout their lifecycle.
  • Perform annual inspections on all fleet vehicles in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Carry out quality preventive maintenance inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, and other company-owned equipment.
  • Execute necessary maintenance repairs to ensure safety and reliability across all fleet vehicles.
  • Respond promptly to all Driver Vehicle Inspection Report submissions.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and execute repairs according to manufacturer specifications across a range of systems.
  • Document all work performed accurately in work orders.
  • Utilize Sysco computer programs efficiently.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in electrical meter testing and knowledge of both DC and low-voltage systems.
  • Complete electrical repairs and welding tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Completion of medium/heavy duty truck technical training.
    • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of formal education along with 1 year of hands-on experience, or a total of 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Certifications:
    • Annual Inspector certification.
    • Brake Inspector certification.
    • ASE certifications in automotive or medium/heavy duty trucks are preferred but not required.
    • 609 HVAC certification.
