If you are a dynamic, motivated individual who is driven to create healthier communities through excellent patient care, Saint Luke's has a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Social Worker in our in-patient environment.

The Opportunity:

  • Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. No weekends or holidays.

  • Provides specialized Social Work needs in relation to medication assistance and compliance

  • Collaborates with the Care Progression team to identify patients who are uninsured or underinsured in need of resources and work with these patients to obtain life-sustaining medications through various resources

  • Collaboration with patients and community resources to increase compliance with medications, improving a patient's overall health

  • functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team for patient care. Duties may also include assistance with program development, evaluation, professional education, or supervision of students and BSW staff.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)

  • Certified LMSW or LCSW

  • Missouri Social Work license

  • Knowledge of theory and practice of social work at the MSW level and have basic research skills

  • Must have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and with patients of various ages and cultural backgrounds

  • Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
