Materials Planner and Buyer

Hours & Pay
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $50,000-$55,000 annually, DOE
Employment Type: Direct Hire
What You'll Do
- Conduct market research to identify cost-effective suppliers and material s.
- Plan and manage inventory to meet operational and customer requirements.
- Execute the purchasing of parts, materials, and services while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Manage supplier selection, performance, and corrective action as needed.
- Expedite materials and adjust allocations to satisfy supply chain needs.
- Oversee ERP systems management, including data analysis and reporting.
- Support and reconcile inventory counts, surveys, and adjustments.
- Process warranty and contract performance claims.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts , ensuring cost, quality, and delivery goals are achieved .
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and procurement-related issues quickly and effectively.
- Prioritize urgent procurement needs such as expedited and AOG ( aircraft on ground ) orders.
- Ensure compliance with corporate safety standards and the Safety Management System.

What We're Looking For
- High school diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Associate/Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience.
- Proven experience managing purchasing portfolios in a global environment.
- Strong knowledge of business economics, cost structures, contracts, and market dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of program management tools and conflict resolution strategies.
