About The Position
Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapy Specialty: - Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 8 am - 5 pm Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Two years current experience required in specialty; at least one previous travel assignment of thirteen weeks. License: State Occupational Therapist license Certifications: BLS certification required, must be completed through approved organizations. Must-Have: Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. Description: Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required. The Occupational Therapist will plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy. Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of function, occupation, and developmental disorders. Oversees and ensures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient. Promotes patient and caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence. Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care. Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during the episode of care. Evaluates and treats both acute care inpatient and outpatient populations, primarily outpatient.
