American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Weston, Florida. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring strong transplant surgery experience and advanced OR skills. Responsibilities Work in a hospital Operating Room specializing in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant cases Shift is 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with on-call liver transplant responsibilities and rotating through other surgical cases One on-call shift per week and two 12-hour weekend on-call shifts per month required Floating within scope is required to meet facility needs Uses Epic EMR Ceil blue scrubs are required Responsibilities focus on assisting with and circulating for transplant surgeries, specifically organ implantation Time-sensitive training modules must be prioritized upon assignment confirmation First-time travelers are accepted All requested time off must be communicated during consideration; additional requests may not be approved Free parking available in any unrestricted space All travelers must be nicotine free with no exceptions Permanent and per diem nurses cannot return to this health system within one year of their previous end date Requirements Active FL or compact RN license is required Minimum 2 years of direct liver or transplant OR RN experience required Must have experience in organ transplant implantation (not just harvesting) Proficiency with MISONIX/CUSA is required Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (at time of consideration) and NIHSS (prior to start) Experience with Epic EMR preferred Must pass EKG and Pharm tests during orientation with a maximum of two attempts Candidates must be nicotine free and able to pass a 10 Panel Nicotine drug screen Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-633237.
