Join us as an Auto Glass Technician Trainee and embark on a career path that leads to becoming a certified auto glass technician. This role offers you the chance to work outdoors, engaging in physical tasks in various weather conditions. Your pay will be assessed every six months based on your performance to ensure you are rewarded for your hard work
As a Technician Trainee, you will:
- Be compensated while you learn the Safelite way through hands-on training and classroom instruction, which includes:
- Auto glass installation and repair
- Recalibrating automotive safety systems
- Providing additional services and products
- Studying and passing tests to become a Safelite-certified Technician, demonstrating expertise in installations and a positive attitude.
- Safely operate a company vehicle and utilize company tools throughout your workday.
What you’ll receive:
- Competitive weekly pay starting at $21.25/hour, increasing to $25.25/hour upon completion of training and certification.
- Earn additional income for every set of wiper blades sold alongside customer safety
- A comprehensive benefits package valued at over $10k, which includes a 401(k) plan with company matching, medical plans, paid time off, holidays, and volunteer days.
- Opportunities to purchase extra PTO or monetize unused time up to 16 hours.
- Up to $5,250 in annual tuition reimbursement.
- Paid training and access to all necessary tools and resources for success.
What you’ll need:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid state-issued driver’s license is required.
- Comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather conditions and on your feet for extended periods.
- Willingness to work scheduled days with flexible start and end times based on customer needs.
- Ability to lift regularly up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred; must have the ability to read and write.
