The Firefox Performance team is passionate about delivering the fastest browsing experience available. We work on all browser components across various platforms, including Windows, Android, Linux, and macOS. Responsibilities- Develop and test code, create prototypes, and analyze performance bottlenecks.
- Navigate a mature codebase to identify and solve diverse problems.
- Utilize multiple programming languages, primarily C++, to enhance performance.
- Advise and educate other engineering teams about performance optimization through reviews, talks, and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to promote an open web accessible to millions.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and experience with performance-critical software.
- Proven ability to take a thoughtful and experimental approach to problem-solving.
- Exceptional debugging skills for analyzing and resolving performance challenges.
- A collaborative spirit and enjoyment of working within a distributed team.

- Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and disk I/O optimization.
- Familiarity with application programming, profiling, and debugging on Android or Windows OS.
