Position Overview:
Join the dynamic team at Hartford Hospital as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our Medical Intensive Care Unit & Step Down team In this pivotal role, you will provide essential critical care for patients facing complex conditions who require advanced life support and multiple technologies. Dive into hands-on experience with bedside procedures, including central and arterial line placements and advanced ultrasonography. Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced professional, you'll receive comprehensive training and support in our fast-paced, rewarding environment.
Location: 80 Seymour Street, Hartford, 06102
Work Setting: Inpatient, Critical Care, Medical ICU
Schedule: Full-time (3x13) nights with premium differentials available. No call required.

Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Role Scope:
- Conduct routine physical examinations and formulate comprehensive medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans in collaboration with practice physicians.
- Develop further evaluation plans for health needs in consultation with care team members.
- Provide treatments within your scope of practice and appropriately refer cases to physicians when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must possess an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or be eligible).
- Training: Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience: We welcome new graduates to apply We provide extensive onboarding, including a 4-6 month orientation with dedicated learning time.
- Preferred: Experience in critical care as a Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Provider is desirable.
