Summary:

As an HVAC sales and support representative, you will be part of a team responsible for developing lasting relationships with contractors and other purchasers of HVAC products, specifically heat pumps, accessories, and ERV. To GMES, meeting customer needs is first and foremost, potential sales person must be driven to go the extra mile in all situations. The position entails project management, sales order processing, assisting customers with product needs and selection, troubleshooting product errors and bidding bills of material.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Possess sufficient knowledge of product lines and specific products so as to effectively represent GMES.

• Understand the technology of heat pumps.

• Train our staff along with our contractors on the technology of heat pumps

• Become a certified proctor to administer the EPA 608 test

• Help customers with technical support and work through problems with manufacturer and manufacturer’s representative.

• Have the ability to travel to help a customer with technical support or training support on installations, demonstrations, and sales opportunities.

• Makes outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.

• Proactively target HVAC installers with heat pumps and accessories to grow the product category for Green Mountain Electric Supply.

• Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.

• Provides product demos to qualified customers on request.

• Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.

• Tracks stock levels and help with purchasing decisions in regards to heat pumps and accessories.

• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.

• Builds and maintains customers’ relationships.

• Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.

• Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.

• Coordinated communication between customers and salespersons on a timely basis.

• Ensure adequate follow-up and timely relay of communications between inside sales, customers, and outside salespersons.

• Provide sales and customer service support to assigned accounts, as directed by the Branch Managers.

• Respond to customer needs, such as: price and delivery quotations, perform sales order entry in an accurate and timely manner, expedite customer requests, product information and availability, special products and requests, coordinating customer requirements with the Inventory and Purchasing Manager, requests for product returns and credit adjustments; and expediting backorders and providing order status.

• Foster increased sales by, wherever possible by: encouraging increased order quantities, selling additional products/lines, and aggressively offering information regarding specials and promotions.

• Ensure that suitable substitute products are suggested wherever possible.

• Maintain an awareness of and a proficiency with the company's computer systems and its capabilities to support inside sales activities.

• Perform any other duties required by the Branch Manager to ensure the effective operation of the branch and company.

Salary Description

$20.00 - $30.00/hour
