Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

Float pool position covering Med-Surg, Telemetry, and discharge lounge units
1:4 patient ratios
Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
Weekend coverage required every other weekend
Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for 8 and 10-hour shifts, 36 hours per week for 12-hour shifts
Float between Med-Surg/discharge 12 bed unit, Med-Surg/Tele 23 bed units, and Med-Surg 4 bed unit
64 hours of orientation provided
Documentation system: Cerner (EPIC preferred)
Medication system: Pyxis
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI
Skills include blood product administration, isolation precautions, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, skin grafts, IV management, surgical drains, and wound care
2 years of nursing experience required
First-time travelers accepted
Must obtain Alaska license prior to starting
Minimum 100-mile radius rule applies
References required but can be submitted with pending status
Local candidates not accepted
Must complete billable modules averaging 4-5 hours during orientation
