About The Role
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive the development of platform features that the Product Engineering Team will leverage for evolving our risk management capabilities. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to ensure that features are highly scalable and performant, as Brinqa’s platform processes hundreds of millions of vulnerabilities on a daily basis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing large-scale SaaS applications and will be passionate about delivering high-quality solutions for some of the world’s largest enterprises. This position reports to a Manager of Software Engineering or higher.

What You'll Do
- Engage in the design of software products that meet our current requirements and can evolve with future needs.
- Provide technical leadership for software implementation aligned with the product roadmap.
- Promote quality initiatives that meet prospects' expectations and maintain high renewal rates.
- Champion processes that enhance team-led work planning, value delivery, and predictable results.
- Participate in planning discussions to ensure quality objectives are well defined, enabling the establishment of standards and metrics.
- Deliver reliable operational support for both internal and external users of our technologies.
- Assist in building a capable team through talent identification and recruitment efforts.
- Help maintain a happy, productive, and autonomous engineering team.
- Enhance productivity by contributing to the development of technical documentation.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of experience in developing large-scale SaaS applications.
- 3+ years of SaaS Java/Groovy enterprise web application development.
- 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in developing web-scale applications.
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Capability to work across all areas of the tech stack (Full-Stack Engineer).
- Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Significant experience in enterprise IT systems management applications.
- Experience in technical team leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
And Ideally
- Familiarity with Neo4J.
- Experience developing cybersecurity or IT systems management applications.
- A Master’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
