Position Overview:
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the resident admissions process. This role ensures a seamless transition for new residents and their families, from initial inquiry to move-in, while maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary contact for all admissions inquiries and referrals.
  • Conduct tours and provide detailed information about facility services and care options.
  • Coordinate and schedule resident admissions, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required documentation.
  • Communicate with hospitals, physicians, social workers, and family members to facilitate smooth transitions of care.
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist with financial paperwork as needed.
  • Collaborate with the nursing and administrative teams to ensure readiness for new admissions.
  • Maintain accurate records of inquiries, referrals, and admissions activities.
  • Participate in marketing and community outreach efforts to promote the facility and build relationships with referral sources.
  • Uphold confidentiality and compliance with all HIPAA and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in long-term care admissions, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare or business administration preferred.
