PGS Worldwide is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team supporting a major aerospace and defense program in Orlando, FL. This one-year contract-to-hire position offers an exciting opportunity to design and develop advanced software systems supporting mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Angular and Java development, with a solid understanding of modern front-end and back-end integration.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Angular (required)
  • Strong experience with Java (required)
  • Skilled in TypeScript (required; strong JavaScript may substitute)
  • Experience using PrimeNG or similar UI frameworks (e.g., Kendo UI)
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • Proven ability to design, test, and debug software for complex systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Oracle PL/SQL
  • Familiarity with development tools such as Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or other secure software environments
  • Strong documentation and code review discipline
Position Overview

The Software Engineer will plan, design, and develop software systems to solve business and mission challenges using structured processes and modern programming techniques. This position involves full lifecycle development, from requirements and design through testing, debugging, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, document, and maintain software using Angular and Java
  • Apply development standards, procedures, and best practices throughout the lifecycle
  • Debug complex software and resolve performance issues
  • Collaborate with system engineers, developers, and end-users to refine requirements
  • Write and maintain clear, concise technical documentation
  • Support integration testing and system validation activities
  • Ensure software meets established quality and security standards
