About The Position

Position Description

A well-established healthcare organization in Minnesota is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with experience in Gastroenterology (GI) to join their inpatient care team. This full-time role involves working 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, seven days a week.

You will manage adult patients with general medical conditions and perform advanced endoscopy procedures within an acute care setting. The practice uses the EPIC EMR system and is supported by an experienced GI nursing and management team.

Providers are encouraged to obtain privileges at two nearby hospital locations, offering diverse clinical opportunities. The position is for 1 full-time equivalent (FTE), initially for 6 months with the possibility of extension. A permanent search for this team is ongoing.

Job Requirements
Requirements
  1. Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with specialization or experience in Gastroenterology
  2. Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in GI or related fields
  3. Competence in advanced endoscopy and managing inpatient GI cases
  4. Relevant certifications (board or life support certifications encouraged; please specify any additional)
  5. Licensure:

    • PA: Accepting Active & IMLC licenses

    • NP: Accepting Active license only

  7. Compliance with vaccination requirements: COVID-19 and Flu (religious and medical exemptions accepted)
  8. Ability to work 8-hour shifts, 8 AM - 4 PM, seven days a week
  9. No call responsibilities
