We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician Assistant in Massachusetts.

Locum Tenens Physician Assistant

Position Type:
Specialty: Physician Surgery - General
Location: Massachusetts
Rate: Open & Negotiable
Shift: Nights 40 hours/week (2x13-hour shifts, 1x14-hour shift; 7:00 pm 7:30 am)
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
End Date: 3 6 months with possible extension

Position Details:
Patient Population: Adolescent / Adult / Geriatric
Setting: Inpatient, Hospital-Based
Responsibilities: General Surgery cases with mix of bariatric, some vascular, and some gynecological surgery; no call. Work with a team of 8 PAs and 10 physicians; 90k annual ER volume.
Required Procedures: General surgical first assist, perioperative care in a hospital setting
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Full complement of OR staff, including surgeons and other PAs
Days Per Month: Full-time nights, three shifts per week
On-Call/Weekends: Nights/Weekends/Holidays required; No call

Submission Requirements:

  • NCCPA Certification Required

  • Active Massachusetts PA license at time of submission Required, no exceptions

  • Relevant experience required No new grads

  • Local providers preferred but full travel reimbursed if needed
